Visitors With Special Needs
With our programme for visitors with special needs, we are attempting to satisfy all visitors of Sečovlje Salina
The programmes are prepared in collaboration with professional leaders of different groups. For the groups that cannot reach the Visitor Centre by foot, we organise or allow transport by vehicles. Although we at the SSNP are doing our best to enable people with movement disorders to visit our Park, no access is possible for the time being to the viewing tower, as spiral staircase leads to it. In the Park we have, however, suitable sanitary facilities for invalids. For the blind and weak-sighted visitors, a model of Sečovlje salt-pans, adapted to them, are available in the Visitor Centre. It is the so-called tactile model of the Sečovlje salt-pans, built as the first one for our very Park. The programme for groups is free of charge and is implemented upon a preliminary order. Each group is led by a trained guide in cooperation with the group's leader.
