Final conference of the project CLIMAPARKS
16.10.2013 - 18.10.2013 The implementation of the CLIMAPARKS project; „Monitoring and study the effects of climate changes “, is nearing its end in the last days of October 2013. On this occasion, SOLINE Pridelava soli d.o.o. and JZ Krajinski park Strunjan are organising the project’s final conference, which will be held in Bernardin Congress Centre (Emerald Ballroom) in Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož (Slovenia) on October, 17th 2013 starting at 09 AM.
The conference will be attended by all project partners, as well as interested public and stakeholders from Slovenia and Italy. The attendees will be addressed by the Minister from the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, Major of Piran, Peter Bossman, Klavdij Godnič, director of salt Company SOLINE Pridelava soli d.o.o. and then the project leader Matej Vranješ will talk about the project views and implementation of the results. Project partners shall present their own results and the benefits that they acquired throughout the implementation of the project.
CONFERENCE LOCATION

Bernardin Congress Centre in Grand Hotel Bernardin is the first and the largest convention centre in Slovenia. Its multifunctional design facilitates the organisation of various events: congresses, seminars, workshops, presentations, press conferences and business meetings, as well as banquets, fashion shows and gala dinners. All 16 modern multifunctional halls enjoy natural daylight. The largest hall, Europa, welcomes up to 1,100 participants. The congress centre is equipped with interpretation booths, it has a VIP room for special meetings, a Business Centre, an organisers’ offices and a banquette kitchen for a quick preparation of food and drinks.
Emerald Ballroom located in the 11th floor of Grand Hotel Bernardin welcomes up to 680 participants.
CONFERENCE LANGUAGE
The conference language is slovenian and italian. Simultaneous interpretation will be available. Authors wishing to present a paper at the conference are pleased to send us one A4 page abstract at least one month before the conference in order to ensure adequate preparation for simultaneous translators.

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Participants wishing to present a research paper or poster are requested to submit their abstract in english to the Conference Secretariat.
Deadline of abstracts is 15th September 2013. All abstracs will be reviewed by the Conference Committee as regarding the conference subject and the scientific contents. People who submitted an abstract will be informed 1 month after their submission on the acceptance of their presentation and/or poster. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Programme Booklet before the symposium takes place.
Abstracts should not exceed a full A.4 page typeset on Word in Helvetica Font of 10 points.

REGISTRATION
A registration form is available online! No conference registration fee is charged. Yet, a 40 Euro fee will be charged for Non - Climaparks participants wishing to take part in the boat excursion scheduled for Friday 18th October 2013. This fee, payable upon arrival, includes transport by boat as well as lunch.
