SPEAR-LEAVED ORACHE
The Spear-leaved Orache is a common species, for it inhabits all types of the coast, including highly anthropogenous shores.
At the Sečlovlje salt-pans, it can be found literally everywhere, but is particularly abundant at Fontanigge along the larger levees. It can be easily recognised by its spear-shaped leaves. In October, it is a significant source of food for the numerous grain-eating birds.
