Tringa stagnatilis
Until recently, the Marsh Sandpiper was considered a rare species.
The last observations from the area of Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, however, have shown that this species occurs regularly, although sparsely, during spring migration together with Black-winged Stilts, Ruffs, Greenshanks and Redshanks. Individual birds can also be observed during the summer months.
