LITTLE RINGED PLOVER
On the Slovene coast, the Little Ringed Plover breeds at similar or the same nest-sites as the Kentish Plover.
At the Sečovlje salt-pans, only few pairs are known to breed. Individually, or in small groups, it can also be observed during migration period. In spite of its exceptional ingenuity when looking for secondary habitat, the Little Ringed Plover in considered one of the most endangered species.
