Visit of EU members of the Parliament in the park
Yesterday a group of members of the European Parliament from Germany, Estonia and Great Britain, accompanied by the Slovene member of the European Parliament Mojca Kleva Kekuš, visited the park. We presented them the protected area, its management model and the ongoing EU projects. During the meeting we raised the issue of park’s management authority legal status when applying for EU funds. The company SOLINE is a private company managing a state park, performing a public service of nature conservation and therefore has limited possibilities for EU funding because of its profitability.
