Heroes in the Sečovlje Salina

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park hosted some very special visitors – the Heroes of the 3rd Floor (Junaki 3. nadstropja).

The sunny September Sunday was perfect for spending time outdoors. The KPSS team enjoyed it together with the heroes, whose courage and strength are an inspiration – just like nature, which teaches us patience and perseverance every day.

For the heroes and their families, we prepared a lively morning program in the Lera area: guided tours, rides on the panoramic train, and a screening of a film about the coexistence of people and nature and about the birds that inhabit our salt pans. At the Salt-Pan Square, they were welcomed with sweet and creative stops – a stand with chocolate bars with fleur de sel from the Piran salt pans and park badges, a coloring and activity corner for children, and the cheerful family “Happy Little Hands,” who prepared a real seaside party.

The heroes also met Emi, the European pond turtle. The group received educational materials and two copies of the book The Adventures of Little Emi, created within the LIFE URCA PROEMYS project.

Special thanks also go to the ship Resnik for the panoramic boat ride, which allowed the Heroes to admire the salt pans from the seaside as well.
