At the end of the paved part of the road there is a crossing (with
Pick & Place building on the right); straight from here, the main
entrance to the Park can already be seen on the bridge over the St.
Jernej Channel. There is a gate at the entrance, and a parking place.
The visitors are kindly requested to cover the distance to the Park's administration office by foot or bike, although access is possible by
motor vehicles as well.
Access to the Museum of Salt-making, managed by the Maritime Museum
Sergej Mašera Piran in the Fontanigge area, is possible via tarmac road
leading along the Dragonja river (after you cross the Sečovlje
checkpoint and turn right just before the bridge over the Dragonja).
Again, you are kindly requested to leave your vehicle in front of the
gate at the pipeline leading across the Dragonja, although considerate
rides with motor vehicles are actually allowed as well.
For the time being, there are no regular public transport lines from
coastal towns to the Sečovlje Park. From Lucija you can reach the Park
through the Marina, past the Camp and on the road along the St. Jernej
Channel.
