You can visit the salt-pans by following the asphalt road at Lera and tarmac road along the Dragonja river. There are marked places where you can rest or snack, marked parking places, chemical toilets, rubbish containers, drink dispensers, and other appliances that will make your visit pleasant and suitable for the entire family. The Code of Conduct and other information are available on information tables and in other printed materials obtainable at various points in the Park. In the gift shop "LERA" you can buy the traditionally produced salt and other local products of arts and crafts. Also available is the information (literature) on the salt-pans themselves.

In Sečovlje Salina Nature Park you are welcome every day: in the morning you can enter it about an hour after sunrise, while in the evening you can leave it an hour before sunset. In the colder part of the year, the Park is open, as a rule, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. in the warmer part. At night, the Park is therefore again earmarked for its permanent inhabitants to recover their breath from daily visitors.

As a rule, the Museum of Salt-making is open from the beginning of April till the end of October between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.
