General Terms and Conditions
A visit should be preliminarily announced by a webform "Book a Guided Tour", by which the availability of guided tours can also be checked (at least 3 days prior to arrival). After filling the announcement form, you will receive, at the e-address you have filled in the form, a confirmation that a guided tour has been reserved for your group. Organized groups (minimum 15 persons) must hire a guide and pay the entrance fee to the park. Group for a guided tour of the park are charged an additional 30 € (Lera) or. € 20 (SaltworksMuseum on Fontanigge)
The price of the saltpan experience “Saltpan worker for a day”, available only in July, August and September and only with good weather conditions, is € 25 per person!
If a group is more than 30 minutes late, its guiding through the Park is not guaranteed. A delay of up to 30 minutes is to be reported on tel. No. +386 51 233 000 or +386 5 672 1350 at least 1 hour before the agreed start of the tour. If the announced group does not arrive and does not cancel the tour, the costs of guide's waiting to the amount of 30 € are to be paid. The assembly point for visiting Lera, where guide will wait for the announced group, is at the Entrance B to the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park at Lera (Seča), the assembly point for visiting Salt Museum at Fontanigge is Entrance C.
During the summer months, do not forget to take a bottle of drinking water and a sun protection lotion with you, while in the colder half of the year you should wear suitable clothing that will protect you against the wind and rain! In the Park, special rules of behaviour are in force, in order not to disturb the animal species and salt workers in the pans. You are also kindly asked to fill all possible health problems (difficulties, illnesses, allergies) in the registration form, again in order to provide for a solid implementation of the tour.
In the event of unsuitable behaviour by the tour's participants (immoderate drinking) and violation of the Park's rules of behaviour, we reserve the right to instruct the guide (nature conservation supervisor) to reject the group or to direct it out of the Park!
For groups with a predominantly older participants we suggest a visit to Museum of Salt as is a 2 km walk at Lera considerable effort!
