In Sečovlje Salina Nature Park since October 2010 we performed MANSALT LIFE - Man and Nature in Sečovlje pans. The main objective of the project is to preserve biodiversity in the Salina.

The past weekend was very busy in Salina . In the frame of 10th Salters feats Saturday morning children's workshops were organised in the afternoon our colleague Iztok Škornik presented his new book entitled Ecological and faunistic review of birds in Secovlje Salina. In the evening we gathered at the opening of the exhibition of paintings and poetry prepared by Ubald Trnkoczy and Vinko Moderndofer.

In April, we sent an invitation to participate in the art contest to all coastal maternity schools and elementary schools. The themes of the contest were two: the first was related to the salt, the other to LIFE project and nature.

Saturday 21.4. and Sunday 22.4. we organised LIFE workshops for children in the frame of 10th Salters feast . Children were very creative and they made their own birds, they painted on textile and decorated salt bags with motifs from park's nature and salt making.

We have developed a special 40th anniversary logo, prepared a 40th anniversary booklet about the Convention, its past, present and future, to be formally launched on the 2nd February, planned a special anniversary celebrations with the international community in Ramsar city, Iran in March and in Geneva, Switzerland in May, penned 12 key messages about Ramsar and wetlands to be shared from the 2nd February 2011 to the 2nd February 2012 – and more.
