In Sečovlje Salina Nature Park since October 2010 we performed MANSALT LIFE - Man and Nature in Sečovlje pans. The main objective of the project is to preserve biodiversity in the Salina.

Within the Climparks project the partners had the opportunity to participate to the second study trip provided by the project. The selected destination, after the Lake District National Park last year, was Portugal and more specifically the National Park of Peneda-Gerês, the first and only National Park in Portugal.

On Tuesday, 11.09.2012 children from Lucija Elementary school participated at the LIFE workshop. Through the activity of 'building a wall' and producing nesting islets and controlling water inflow they have learned how important is the water regime to ensure that plant and animal species can survive and reproduce.

We have developed a special 40th anniversary logo, prepared a 40th anniversary booklet about the Convention, its past, present and future, to be formally launched on the 2nd February, planned a special anniversary celebrations with the international community in Ramsar city, Iran in March and in Geneva, Switzerland in May, penned 12 key messages about Ramsar and wetlands to be shared from the 2nd February 2011 to the 2nd February 2012 – and more.
