Location of the Park

With its surface area of about 750 ha, the Park is situated in the extreme southwestern part of Slovenia, next to the boundary with the Republic of Croatia, in the southern part of the Piran Council. The Park's northern part, where salt is still being actively produced, is called Lera, which is separated from the southern part of the Park, called Fontanigge, by the Drnica stream.
